In 1962, the Lewis & Clark Choir received an incredible honor: it was named the 1962 official radio and television broadcasting choir for the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Recordings of the choir were used for ten broadcasts of the 1962 Protestant Hour and they gave three large concerts, in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and at the 1962 general assembly of the church in Denver. Before going to Denver, the choir also held a benefit concert in Portland to help cover travel costs.
